Switzerland Innovation Enters into Cooperation with TusPark in China

During a state visit to China in April, the President of the Swiss Confederation, Johann N. Schneider-Ammann, got together with Chinese President Xi Jinping, and the two heads of state agreed on an innovative strategic partnership. With the declaration on the establishment of an innovative strategic partnership, Switzerland joins the group of some 60 states with which China has entered into a strategic partnership.

During the state visit, Switzerland Innovation signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Tsinghua University Science Park (TusPark) in Beijing. The aim of this cooperation is to intensify the exchange of expertise and experience in the areas of technology and innovation. As part of this cooperation, Switzerland Innovation and TusPark will be offering Chinese and Swiss universities, research institutes and companies the opportunity to relocate to the parks in order to intensify their collaboration in the area of research and development.

Following the signing of the MoU, representatives of TusPark visited Switzerland, and met with Switzerland Innovation in order to strengthen contacts and identify potential research areas and innovation focus areas for future localizations at Switzerland Innovation sites.
